Braunwald is a small village with around 320 inhabitants and lies on a
sunny mountain terrace 1300 to 1900 metres above sea level. The village is a
car-free holiday resort that can be reached by funicular railway.
In summer,
nature lovers enjoy the high alpine mountain panorama and the many hiking
experiences. In winter it is a snow paradise for skiers, snowboarders, sledging
and hikers. The valley station of Braunwald can be reached in
about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Zurich.
